Shirin Art Gallery showcased artworks by four Iranian artists at the 12th Contemporary Istanbul (CI), an art fair in Turkey, September 14-17.

CI 2017 displays artworks from both established and emerging galleries, bestowing a regional and international focus to the dynamic contemporary art scene in Istanbul.

It is the first time Shirin Gallery is attending the event and is presenting Iran art to the audience along with more than 70 galleries.

According to the gallery website, painter Behrang Samadzadegan, visual artist Farzan Sadjadi, sculptor and installation artist Farnaz Rabieijah and painter, sculptor and multi dimensional artist Iman Safaei are the featured artists from Iran whose works are on display at the Turkish event.

Shirin Gallery is one of the custodians and promoters of Iranian modern and contemporary art in the world. With branches in Tehran and New York, it is also committed to charity work.

The gallery has attended major world events including Abu Dhabi Art, CONTEXT Art Miami and Art Dubai, and introduced young and veteran Iranian artists to the global audience.

This year’s Contemporary Istanbul comprises a special Galleries Section for galleries established before 2010, the Emerging Galleries Section for galleries founded in the past six years, Solo Shows for booths by a single artist or artist group, and Plugin for galleries and architecture studios dedicated to new media artworks.
