‘A Doll’s House,’ a play written by the late Norwegian playwright, Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906) and directed by Iranian theater director Saeed Heshmati is underway at Baran Theater Hall. A three-act play, the original work is significant for its critical view of 19th-century marriage norms. The play is about a family whose protagonist, Nora, leaves her husband and children because she wants to discover herself. At the time it was written in 1879, it was hard to accept that a woman might leave her home and family. However, as a futuristic play it finds appeal and realism in modern times. Niloufar Parsa, Shahriar Fard, Mehdi Hosseini, Tiam Moniri and Ramin Mosayebi are in the cast, Tiwall.com reported. The play will run through September 28 at Baran Theater at No. 292, Felestin St., after Enqelab St.
