Melal Cultural Center in Tehran is displaying attractions of South Korea in form of a cultural exhibition organized jointly by that country’s embassy and Tehran Municipality’s Organization of Art and Culture.

The exhibition ‘Korea Close Up’ opened September 3 and will run through September 9, according to the TM organization’s website, fhnews.ir.

The opening ceremony was attended by South Korean Ambassador Kim Seung-Ho and Iranian cultural officials including Mehdi Mohammadi, head of TM’s international and public relations.

Forty photographs are on display, namely of  tourist and cultural attractions in the Asian nation. Also included in the exhibit are the country’s national costumes and traditional crafts and cuisine.

Hanbok, a traditional South Korean dress is on show along with some colorful models of hanbok in the 15th and 16th century.

Melal Cultural Center is located on Qeytarieh Street, Sadr Expressway. Visiting hours are 12-6 pm.
