The famous play ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ written by American playwright Tennessee Williams and directed by Iran’s Mohsen Hajnorouzi is currently on stage at Niavaran Cultural Center. The play follows a troubled former schoolteacher as she leaves small-town Mississippi and moves in with her sister and her husband in New Orleans. But her presence causes problems for the couple, who already have a volatile relationship, making a bad situation worse. Director Hajnorouzi has a role in the play along with Azita Talebi, Soheil Qanadan, Fatemeh Shams, Ashkan Kazemi, Mahta Ahmadi, Sadra Mohammadi and Mehdi Sarabi, tiwall.com reported. The play will run until September 15 at Niavaran Cultural Center located across from Niavaran Park, northern end of Pasdaran Street.
