A collection of artworks created with, or based on, wood are on display at the gallery of Aaran Projects in Tehran.
Fifteen visual artists from three generations have presented their artworks at the exhibit. Sketch artist, painter and sculptor Mohsen Vaziri Moqadam; painter Majid Kamrani; sculptor and installation artist Shaqayeq Arabi; architect, sculptor and painter Shahryar Qaraee, video artist, sculptor and installation artist Yashar Azar Emdadian are among the participants.
Titled ‘Primary’ (in Persian: Nokhostin), the exhibit also includes works by the sculptors Behrouz Amiri Rad, Mansour Tabibzadeh, Houman Salimi, Behdad Lahouti, Mehdi Rangchi, Mohammad Marvasti and Farhad Ahrarnia, Honaronline reported.
‘Primary’ opened on September 1 and will run through September 29. The event focuses on the unique applications of wood in painting and sculpture.
The gallery of Aaran Projects is located at No. 5, Lolagar Alley, Neauphle-Le-Chateau Street. The gallery is open all days except Saturdays from 1-7 pm.
