In her latest play, theater director, playwright and actress Somayeh Mehri deals with the violation of privacy.

“As a psychologist, I presented ‘Scorpion’ (in Persian: Kazhdom) to address the problems of those members of our society whose lives are undermined due to loss of privacy,” Mehri told Honaronline.

Scorpion opened August 20 at Khavaran Theater Complex in Tehran and will run through September 14.

“The play is about a major problem caused by people who are not concerned about the consequences of their actions in the lives of others,” she said and explained the private photos and videos posted on social media networks and followed by trains of rude comments.

Mehri has a part in the play. Shiva Khosromehr and Sharareh Rokham, both with familiar names in theater, are the other actresses.

The play has a documentary aura and is a realistic reflection of real events and incidents.

Tickets are available at tiwall.com. Khavaran Theater Complex is located on Baqaee Street, near Malek Ashtar Square.
