A total of 26 cinemas are showing ‘Subdued’, a romance drama directed by Hamid Nematollah. On the theme of women and society, the film tells the story of a divorcee, Mina (played by Leila Hatami), who falls in love with Kamran (Kourosh Tahami), manager of a restaurant where she works. Kamran has a crush on her too but as Mina’s love grows for him, he gets reluctant to continue the relationship, cinematicket.org reported. The film was premiered at the 35th Fajr Film Festival in February and won three awards, including the Crystal Simorgh for the best actress for Hatami. Kourosh, Azadi, Mega Mall, Mellat, Charsou and Zendegi cineplexes and Soroush cinema are showing the film in Tehran.
