A free adaptation of Moliere’s ‘Scapin’s Deceits’ is currently being staged at Mehrab Theater Hall. The original play was written in 1671 by Moliere, the 17th century famous French playwright. Iranian theater director Alireza Tarameshlou has localized the play for the local audience. Titled ‘Deceitful’, it tells the story of two businessmen who have forced their children to marry each other. The cast includes Peyman Daneshmand, Rasoul Haqshenas, Somayeh Kiadarbandsari, Niloufar Koushamehr, Mostafa Bayat and Amir Mohammad Maleki, tiwall.com, reported. The play will be on stage till August 31 at Mehrab Theater located at the junction of Imam Khomeini and Vali-e-Asr streets.
