The iconic Azadi Tower in Tehran will host a multinational quartet concert led by Norwegian avant-garde jazz composer and trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer, 57.
Molvaer and three accompanying musicians will play his compositions on Sept. 7. The full title of the event is Nils Petter Molvaer Continuum Quartet, according to Tiwall (tiwall.com), where tickets are available.
Molvaer will trumpet his unique jazz fusion. He is accompanied by Iranian composer Soheil Shayesteh who plays the violin at the concert, piano virtuoso Adib Qorbani and Swiss percussionist Samuel Rohrer.
Azadi Tower is located at the western end of Azadi Avenue.
