Kamkars Coming to Vahdat

The popular Kurdish music band Kamkars will go live on September 13 at Vahdat Hall in Tehran.

The Kamkars will be accompanied by Iran’s National Orchestra, conducted by Soharb Kashef, 36, Mehr News Agency reported.

All members of the Kamkars are from the city of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province. For this performance, Ardeshir Kamkar plays kamancheh, the spike fiddle; Arsalan Kamkar sings and plays oud; Hana Kamkar is on daf; and Sohrab Kamkar is on percussion.

Also playing are Siavash Kamkar on santur; and Ehsan Emami on tar. Amir Nasser Ranjbar sings and plays kamancheh.

Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd, Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
