Orchestra for Kids

Children will attend the Tehran Symphony Orchestra concert this week. Vahdat Hall in Tehran will host an orchestral event on August 23 dedicated to children and aimed at familiarizing them with classical and symphonic pieces, according to Iran Concert. Conducted by Iranian-American composer, violinist, pianist and conductor Shahrdad Rouhani, Tehran Symphony Orchestra will perform the pieces ‘Peter and the Wolf’ by Russian pianist and conductor Sergei Prokofiev; ‘The Carnival of Animals’ by French composer Camille Saint Saens; the soundtrack of the movie ‘Jaws’ by American conductor and pianist John Williams; and ‘Baroque Flamenco’ by American “hip” harpist Deborah Henson Conant.
