Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran is to host a traditional Iranian concert on August 23. The traditional music band of Bangeno will perform a selection of compositions by the leader of the ensemble Nastaran Hashemi who also plays santur, Tiwall reported. Starting at 9 pm, the concert will be staged at Persian Gulf auditorium of the cultural center at the northern end of Pasdaran Street, across Niavaran Park. Band members are singer Mahmoud Salehi, tar player Haman Khalili, Farima Movafaqi on kamancheh, Bita Qasemi on qeychak, oud player Motamed Samani, Sam Khajevand on daf and dayereh and Soheyl Dadian on tonbak.
