Tehran Music Ensemble, also known as New Music Orchestra will perform on August 25 at Roudaki Hall in Tehran. It will be a repertoire of contemporary Iranian compositions starting at 9 pm. Saeed Alijani will conduct the orchestra in which Sanam Qarachedaghi will be the solo player of cello. At the concert, they will perform pieces by composer Ali Reza Mashayekhi, one of the first Iranian composers who pioneered Persian symphonic music. Other pieces of the repertoire are composed by tar player Iman Vaziri, tar and setar player and pianist Samira Vaseqnia.  Tickets are available at the Iran Concert website (iranconcert.com).
