Over 800 films have been sent to the cinema section of the 6th Iran International Green Film Festival (IIGFF) slated for September.
According to the public relations office of the festival, so far 524 domestic and 278 foreign artworks from 43 countries have been sent to the cinema section of Iran’s largest environmental cinematic event.
Of the 43 countries, the US, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Brazil, Germany and Russia have the highest number of submissions respectively. The submitted works include short, feature, experimental and animated films.
It is considered the foremost cultural event in the Middle East focusing on protecting the environment.
The 6th edition of the event will be held in Tehran and several other cities, September 9-15.
