An exhibition of glazed tile paintings will open August 18 at Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran.
The tiles are painted, glazed and baked by painter Farzaneh Kalantari. She has been painting for 30 years, but in 1993 shifted to tiles and ceramics, according to Fars News Agency.
The 10-day  exhibition features a variety of artworks she created during the past several years. There are 36 paintings on tile and ceramic at the exhibition. They are all glazed and baked at 1,000 degrees centigrade.
Venue of the exhibition is Gallery 2 of Niavaran Cultural Center located at the northern end of Pasdaran Street, across Niavaran Park. Visiting hours are 10 am to 9 pm, and on holidays from 2-8 pm.
