A group exhibition of sculptures and paintings by three creative artists is underway at Laleh Art Gallery in Tehran.

Titled ‘Tablet of Imagination’ (in Persian: Loh-e Khial), the exhibit revolves around ancient myths and legends, but is presented in a free, improvised rendition, according to the news website of Tehran Municipality’s Organization of Art and Culture.

On display are 35 sculptures and paintings. Acclaimed sculptor Jafar Najibi, 64, is one of the contributing artists whose works are made from metal, ceramic and pottery.

‘Tablet of Imagination’ opened August 11 and will run through August 22. Visiting hours are from 9 am-7 pm, with a midday break from 1-2 pm. On Thursdays, Laleh Art Gallery is open till 4 pm.

The gallery is located on Fatemi Street, northern flank of Laleh Park, next to Laleh Hotel.
