Galeri Idil in Istanbul is showcasing visual artworks by 40 Iranian artists.

Titled ‘Mehr’, the exhibition opened August 3 and will run through August 14. It is organized under the auspices of Nidra Art Group based in the historic Turkish city and Yasmin Art Gallery in Tehran, ISNA reported.

On display are photographs, paintings, calligraphic paintings and graphic arts whose subjects include human figures, architecture and nature among others.

The event is aimed at boosting cultural ties between the two neighbors. Among participants are known artists including photographer and graphic designer Mostafa Alizadegan, painter and interior designer Mina Azarmand and painter Roqayeh Bayat.
