Soleimani to Stage Shaffer’s ‘Follow Me’

Theater director Kourosh Soleimani will stage the one-act play ‘Follow Me’ from August 17 at Mowlavi Hall in Tehran.
Dealing with issues of marital relations, the comedy is based on the 1962 play ‘The Public Eye’ written by English playwright and screenwriter Peter Shaffer (1926-2016). In 1972, it was adapted into an English film titled ‘Follow Me’, whose script was also penned by Shaffer, Mehr News Agency reported.
The story is about a middle-aged accountant who is suspicious of his young wife, and hires a private detective to follow her.
Its script deals with psychological aspects of a marital relationship with a positive and humorous approach towards the relationship between married couples.
The cast includes Masoud Mirtaheri, Vahid Aqapur and Maryam Dannadehfard.
Mowlavi Hall is located at No. 16, 16-Azar Street, Enqelab Avenue.
