‘Pruning Season’ in Arasbaran

‘Pruning Season,’ a 2015 documentary by film director, scriptwriter and film editor Loqman Khaledi, 39, is to be screened and reviewed today, July 23, at Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center.

The event, including a screening session and a meeting for critical appraisal, starts at 6 pm. Khaledi, director and editor of the film, together with a number of crew members will be present, Young Journalists Club (YJC) reported.

Pruning Season follows the story of an Iranian man who claims to have founded a cure for cancer. The film goes on to show a series of challenges he faces to prove his claim.

Arasbaran Cultural Center is located on Jolfa Street, northeast of Seyed-Khandan bridge.

Khaledi’s earlier films include ‘Focus’ (2001), ‘The Step’ (2003), ‘A Simple Incident’ (2005), ‘The Center of X’ (2006), ‘It’s Always Late for Freedom’ (2006), ‘Without Noise’ (2007), ‘Private’ (2008), ‘And I Am a Passenger’ (2009), ‘Mobile in Tehran’ (2010) and ‘Moving Up’ (2011).
