Metal Improvisations on Show

Metal Improvisations’ (in Persian: Bedahehaye Felezi) is an ongoing sculpture exhibition by Iranian painter and sculptor Negar Najibi at Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran.

Spring Art Gallery of the IAF is hosting the event. It is the fourth solo exhibit by the young artist, featuring 12 sculptures made of scrap metal pieces welded together, IAF’s website (iranartists.org) reported.

‘Metal Improvisation’ will run through July 18. The venue is located at Art Garden, on Iranshahr Street.

Najibi, 21, has been painting since she was 3. However, her iron welding skills developed two years ago at a training workshop conducted by Tabarestan Steel Foundry, a private company with central office in Tehran and an industrial complex in Qaem Shahr, Mazandaran.
