Iran’s National Orchestra, conducted by veteran composer Fereydoun Shahbazian, 74, will stage its first performance in Mazandaran Province in the last week of July.

The performance, slated for July 27 in the Mazandaran capital city of Sari, is organized under the auspices of Tehran-based Roudaki Foundation, affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mazandaran Music Association and the provincial department of Culture Ministry, Khabaronline reported.

A total of 60 prominent musicians form the orchestra. At the upcoming performance, they will be accompanied by pop and traditional singer Mohammad Esfahani, 51, who so far has released 16 studio albums and two live concert albums.

Ahad Javdani, director general of Mazandaran’s department of Culture Ministry appreciated the efforts by Roudaki Foundation and Culture Minister Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri in organizing and supporting the performances of the National Orchestra throughout the country.

“Their current approach will lead to promotion of artistic endeavors and opportunities in provinces,” Javdani said.
