‘Road of Friendship’ Set for Iran, Italy

Iran and Italy are to perform a two-day joint orchestra with separate programs in both countries.
Titled ‘The Road of Friendship,’ it will be presented by the Italian ensemble of Giovanile Luigi Cherubini Orchestra and Tehran Symphonic Orchestra, ISNA reported.
The 80-minute program is slated first in Tehran on July 6. On July 8, it will be held in Ravenna, a historical city in northern Italy.
Vahdat Hall is the venue for the Tehran concert which starts at 7 pm.  In Ravenna, the Palazzo Mauro de Andre will host the late evening event.
The orchestra will be conducted by acclaimed Italian conductor Riccardo Muti, 75, and artistically designed by Iranian-American composer, conductor, violinist and pianist Shahrdad Rouhani, 62.
It includes a selection of pieces by Italian opera composer Guiseppe Verdi (1813-1901).
