French Award for Short Documentary

Iranian filmmaker Yaser Talebi has won the award for best director of a short documentary at the 3rd International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema NICE, in France, for his film ‘The Iron Dream’.
He won the award last month with the first international presence of his film. The documentary deals with the role of Iran’s national railways in the Allied victory over Germany in the Second World War, Mehr News Agency reported.
A production of IRIB, the movie was also nominated in the category of best producer of a short documentary.
The French festival, held in late May, was packed with workshops, guest speakers, film premieres, financing talks, director Q&As, film screenings, networking events and industry professional panels.
