Exhibit on Historical Monuments

A total of 30 sketches from historical buildings and textures in Iran, drawn by architect Mohammad Hassan Kia Momeni, is on display at Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran.

‘In Quest of Spirit’ is the title of an ongoing exhibition representing ‘an architect’s journey through Iran.’ The purpose is to create awareness about the significance of historical monuments in the country and the need to protect them.

The exhibit opened on May 20, and will run through May 23, from 10 am-9 pm at the center’s Gallery No. 2, according to galleryinfo.ir, a website on cultural events.

The featured sketches have been drawn in situ over 30 years. They are now being compiled into a book and will be published soon by the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism (RICHT), affiliated to Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO).

Niavaran Cultural Center is located at the northern end of Pasdaran Street, across Niavaran Park.
