The music band Darkoob will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a concert featuring popular cinema actor Hamed Behdad.
The event is slated for May 26 at Milad Tower in Tehran. Behdad, 43, will appear on the stage as one of the vocalists, according to the music website of musiceiranian.ir. He has had several previous collaborations with Darkoob and Homayoun Nassiri, band leader.
Behdad admits he is lucky in having musician friends such as Nassiri, 36, and the other members of the band -- composer, pop singer, pianist and guitarist Ali Reza Assar, 47; vocalist and tonbak player Homayoun Shajarian, 41; bass guitarist Dara Daraee, 35; and player of electric guitar Ali Az’hari .
“The 10th anniversary of Darkoob is a happy event for me,” he said, and was nostalgic about his memories with the group.”They say, sit by the brook and watch your life passing by. This is how the past 10 years have gone … leaving behind memories of friendship.”
About the concert, Nassiri said: “It is a selection of the most popular pieces of the band. We will perform with all our energy and surprise the audiences so that they leave the event with lasting memories.”
“Behdad is among the few artists who have collaborated with Darkoob as vocalist since the establishment of the band. He is a bright artist and well educated in music. His appearance at our 10th anniversary concert will be a different one,” he added.
