A Polish father-son duo will perform at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall in late April.

The two-member band ‘Partyzant’ with Polish guitarist Krzysztof Toczko, 46, and his percussionist son Mikolaj, 20, will stage an instrumental performance on April 28-29.

The concert will feature soundtracks of classical films. The band will also cover some golden oldies by famous pop artists including American singer Michael Jackson (1958-2009), ILNA reported.

“Guitar has no limit” is the slogan of the band which is inspired by musicians as varied as Polish composer and virtuoso pianist Frederic Chopin (1810-1949), the American metal band of Korn, as well as American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970).

The concert will be in the style of blues and rock. The duo will also perform a number of nostalgic Iranian pieces in their own style.

It is organized under the auspices of Khane-e-Honar-e-Javan institute of art and culture, based in Tehran.

Partyzant has performed with famous American musicians such as instrumental rock guitarist Joe Satriani, 60; and guitarist, singer, songwriter and arranger Steve Lukather, 59; and Australian guitarist and songwriter Tommy Emmanuel, 61.

It has also performed joint events with other Polish bands like ‘Dzem’ and ‘Zdrowa Woda.’
