Elahe Gallery Hosts Young Artists

Elahe Gallery in Tehran has planned to hold three exhibitions by young Iranian artists in spring.
The painting exhibition ‘Pleasant Ecstasy’ by Iranian-born Californian-based graphic designer Shirin Azadi will run from April 21 to May 1, Honaronline reported.
Azadi has worked as a freelance graphic designer and art director at different events in Iran and the US.
The second painting exhibit is by Iranian-born Toronto-based artist Navid Fard which is slated for May 5-15.
The displayed works will be among the black and white abstract and figurative paintings which Fard has created with acrylic and charcoal on canvas between 2014 and 2016.
At a young age, he attended the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), the leading art institute for youth in Iran. Later he studied painting with renowned Iranian artist Aydin Aghdashloo as well.
Artworks by Pouria Nahai will also adorn the gallery from May 19-29.
Elahe Djavaheri, director of the gallery, seeks to introduce newcomers and amateurs “who will build the next generation of Iranian art” besides introducing local professional painters.
The gallery is located at No.3, Amini Alley, Golfam St., Nelson Mandela (Africa) Blvd.
