The 35th Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) has organized special sightseeing tours for this year’s guests.
Program manager Mohammad Salavatifard said there will be 30 night-walking and 10 day-walking tours for guests to see natural places, historical sites and culture of the people in Tehran.
According to the website of the festival, the guests will visit galleries, theaters, universities, art centers and tourism sites in the capital besides appearing at film screenings.
“Three hotels will accommodate over 350 international guests from 66 countries. There will be 150 volunteers to accompany them during the annual event. The guests will have access to information about all sightseeing tours and they will be able to choose which one to take,” Salavatifard said.
Spokesperson Alireza Shojanouri said the guests will come from 31 Asian, 23 European and 6 African countries. At least 5 special guests from the American continent and Australia will participate. There will be celebrities from 24 Muslim nations as well.
As he explained that they come in different groups, mainly A-list directors, screenwriters, actors, special effects gurus, producers, festival managers, film buyers and film distributors.
Also speaking about the festival’s International Club, Shojanouri said it has over 15,000 registered members who can reserve tickets online and at discount prices, or make selections in advance to take part in special screening programs.
Presided over by filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi, the 35th FIFF will take place from April 21-28 at Charsou Cineplex in downtown Tehran.
