After staging his award-winning play ‘Parallel Prowls’ at Tehran’s Molavi Hall in September, Larian, 35, has directed another play about social violence, titled ‘And the Other Stories.’

The upcoming play, comprising five short stories, is slated for April 6-May 7 at Samandarian Hall of Iranshahr Theater, Azad News Agency (ANA) reported.

For each of its five acts, a different set of thespians will be on stage. Mehdi Hosseininia and Hamid Rahimi play in the first act. Massoumeh Karimi and Mojtaba Fallahi are in the second. Sina Karami, Afshin Zamani and Elaheh Shahparast will appear in the third act; Sajad Tabesh and Keyvan Saketof will perform in the fourth and the last act will feature Amer Mosafer Astaneh, Melody Aramnia and Maryam Naqibi.

In the play, Larian examines violent trends in society and renders them psychoanalytically. Iranshahr Theater is located next to Iranian Artists Forum on Iranshahr Street. The 70-minute play starts every evening at 6:30 pm.
