The highly-valuable works will now be displayed in Tehran while they were earlier planned to be showcased in Berlin and Rome; however both exhibits were canceled by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri last November due to “a legal ambiguities raised by legal experts” and on the grounds that the matter needed “more investigations.”
The German government had guaranteed the maintenance and restoration of the works to assure Iran on the protection of the works and their safe return to the country. But so far, no new decision has been made by the Culture Ministry on exhibiting the artworks abroad.

The exhibition of the treasure collection will run till late June at the museum, next to Park Laleh, North Karegar Ave. Enthusiasts can visit the exhibit from Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm and on Fridays from 3 pm to 7 pm. The museum is closed on Saturdays and official holidays.

  Report on Print Works
On the occasion, ‘Print Works by Artists From Across the World at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts’ a recent book published by Contemporary Art Publications, affiliated to the TMoCA, is also to be unveiled at the exhibition opening.
The book project was funded by Lajevardi Foundation, a Tehran-based non-profit organization tasked with promotion of contemporary art and culture.
Compiled in collaboration with the TMoCA, it includes part of the museum’s treasured collection. It is a report on print works by non-Iranian artists who have contributed to the collection.
