Works of the veteran Iranian artist Ali Akbar Sadeghi will be screened at the 10th Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF), March 5-9, in four cinemas in Tehran.

The animations will be shown at Felestin (Palestine) Cinema, Ghadir Hall, Behnam Mohammadi Hall and IIDCYA’s Cinema Theater Auditorium and Center for Artistic Creations in Tehran on the 2nd day of the festival (March 6), Mehr News Agency reported.

Born in Tehran, Sadeghi, 79, is a versatile artist who has been active in a variety of media, including painting, graphic design, illustration and animation for about 60 years. He is considered to be a master of Iran’s visual arts in the last five decades.

The 10th TIAF is held at several cinemas and cultural centers in the capital, as well as provincial cinemas affiliated to the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults (IIDCYA), the organizer of the event.

There are notable award-winning animations participating in various categories of the festival this year.
