‘Paper Dream’ for Turkish Fest

The play ‘Paper Dream’ on peace advocacy, directed by dramatist and theater director and actor Reza Faqihi, 34, has been selected from among 12 Iranian works to participate in Turkey’s 12th International Eskishehir Children’s and Youth Theater Festival (May 20-26).

Faqihi’s play is about global peace and highlights the sinister effects of war on children. It tells the story of a girl who travels to the world of games. In her journey, she visits a war-torn city, where children get hurt, Theater Online reported.

The goal of the festival, to be held in Eskishehir city, northwestern Turkey, “is to promote peace and integration and to gather artists where they can share their works and create empathy for and among children.”

On its sidelines, the event will also feature workshops and other activities.
