Iranian traditional vocalist Alireza Ghorbani, 44, will perform at a concert on March 11-12 at Tehran's Vahdat Hall.
He will sing some pieces by Iranian composers Fardin Khalatbari, 52, who is famous for his film scores, and Mahyar Alizadeh, 36, a tar virtuoso, Mehr News Agency reported.
The sponsor of the event is Ahang-Eshtiaq, a cultural artistic institute. The concert is a repeat performance of its first show on January 27 at the same venue.
Repertoire includes a selection from Ghorbani's 2015 album 'Fairylike Girl,' composed by Mahyar Alizadeh and produced by Ahang-Eshtiaq institute. The lyrics of the album include compositions by celebrated Iranian poets Houshang Ebtehaj, 88, Fereydoun Moshiri (1926-2000) and Sohrab Sepehri (1928-1980).
Another album whose songs will be rendered is 'I Fell in Love with Your Eyes' (in Persian: Man Asheqe Cheshmet Shodam). Released by Barbad Music art and culture institute, the album is mainly an orchestral work composed by Khalatbari.
Ghorbani's warm, resonant voice has made him particularly popular in Iran. He has recorded many tracks and collaborated with composer Majid Derakhshani, 60; composer and player of various wind instruments Sadeq Cheraghi, 46; composer, author and santur player Pezhman Taheri, 46; and Houshang Kamkar, 71, director and composer of Kamkars music ensemble.
