The feature film ‘7:05 P.M.’ which was made by Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Mehdi Asgarpour in 2009 in France will finally be screened in Iran after an eight-year hiatus.
The production is based on a script written by screenwriter Farhad Tohidi and the movie will be shown in a limited number of cinemas in the Art and Experience cinematic group from February 22, ISNA reported.
The purpose of the group is to screen new, modern experimental and artistic films to serve the interests of a particular social strata that can connect to such movies.
The story deals with three immigrant women of different ages living in France who face a variety of questions about life and death and love and betrayal and are on the verge of mental collapse and suicide.
The cast includes Reza Kianian, Reza Attaran, Isabelle Pasco, Linda Borini, Virginie Boudot, Christopher Masson, Melina Morse and Tom Novembre.
Asgarpour, 54, made his first film ‘Flying to the Limit’ in 1990 in which he was the director, producer and screenwriter. Since then he has directed four other feature films, for two of which he has written the script as well, produced two films and made six series.

During his 30 years of activity in cinema, Asgarpour has also served as the head of House of Cinema, managing director of Farabi Cinema Foundation and secretary of 20th and 21st Fajr Film Festival among others.
In the 8-year period since its production, ‘7:05 P.M.’ has been screened at several foreign events. Considering its theme which is still an ongoing issue in the world, performance of popular Iranian actors Kianian and Attaran and the Paris location, the movie is expected to be welcomed by the viewers.
