Library for Blind at Khavaran Cultural Center

‘Tolou,’ Tehran’s largest and most advanced library for the visually impaired opened on February 6 at Khavaran Cultural Center.

“Cultural and Art Organization (affiliated to Tehran Municipality) will maintain and develop the library,” said Mahmoud Salahi, head of the organization, at the opening ceremony of the library, its website fhnews.ir reported.

The cultural center is located in District 15. “We will do our best to provide residents of other districts the facilities that meet their requirements.”

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Reza Doustali, head of the center, said the library has 8,000 titles of Braille books, as well as other facilities including Braille generator, embosser, audio book systems, book scanners and a studio for recording audio books.
