The 16th International Book Fair for Fiction and Non-Fiction is underway at the Central House of Artists in Moscow.
Several publishers, booksellers, literary associations and cultural foundations from 13 different countries, including Iran, Russia, Austria, America, Poland, Canada, Ukraine, France, Norway, and Italy are taking part.
Iran’s Islamic Culture Research Foundation has presented 140 books on different topics including from the Qur’an, philosophy, mysticism, history, culture, and Islamic civilization.
For the first time works by Al-Farabi, also known as Alpharabius, the renowned scientist and philosopher of the Islamic Golden Age, Reza Davari Ardakani, Allameh Mohammad-Taqi Ja’fari, etc. are presented at the fair.
This year, children are the ‘Guests of Honor’ and special status has been given to the German language and literature.
The expo was first held in 1999 and since then has been held annually in the last week of November.
Hosting more than 300 events, the fair which concludes on November 30, also organized meetings with authors, roundtables and discussions on the book industry.
