Tehran Beautification Organization (TBO), affiliated to the Tehran Municipality has called on visual artists to help adorn the city walls with new murals.
Visual artists and practitioners in other areas of art have been asked to present their ideas and preliminary plans for a series of murals to be painted or installed on specific city walls, according to the public relations office of TBO.
Enthusiasts can submit their ideas and plans by personally referring to the event secretariat at the TBO’s Culture and Urban Arts Department located at No. 2, intersection of South Mofatteh Street and Shiroudi Alley.
Submission forms are available on the website zibasazi.ir. The plans should be submitted only on January 30 and 31, and each artist can submit a maximum of 10 plans.
Selected works will be announced on February 3. Juries include painter and video artist Khosrow Khosravi, 51, illustrator, graphic designer, art director Kianoush Gharibpour, 47, painter, sculptor, illustrator and caricaturist Mohammad Ali Baniasadi, 61, as well as painters Kazem Chalipa, 59, and Ali Zakeri, 57, and Mohammad Reza Qorbani Aqdam, 52.
