The opening of the 32nd Fajr International Music Festival, Iran’s most prestigious music event, has been postponed by two days.
Slated for January 11-20, the festival will now open on Friday, January 13 but will conclude on January 20 as earlier scheduled, ISNA reported.
The festival opening was rescheduled due to the three-day public mourning following the demise of former president Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the Expediency Council, on January 8.
All the tickets issued for the festival remain valid. The new table of the programs is available on the festival website (fajrmusicfestival.com).
The changes in the festival schedule include the omission of a performance, combination of a few programs and extension of timings.
