Diane Ensemble conducted by Siavash Lotfi will stage a concert titled ‘International Lullabies’ at Roudaki Hall in Tehran on December 31 and Jan. 1, 2017.

The vocal ensemble comprises of a choir of eight woman soprano and alto singers and a pianist will perform a repertoire of eight lullabies from various nations as well as folk songs from different ethnicities of the world, Honaronline reported.

Lotfi has collected the musical pieces from Iran and Azerbaijan as well as countries in Latin America and Europe. He has rearranged them for the event.

Founded two years ago, the ensemble participated in the first Choir Competition of Iran and Germany two months ago in Tehran and finished second. The upcoming event is their first independent concert.

The singers include Samira Dilmaqani,  Maryam Movafaghi, Noora Khalokhi and Samira Mohseni (alto) and Yekta Etemadi, Pegah Eynakchi, Nasim Shojaei and Sara Mohseni Ardehali (soprano). Fakhteh Hajihossein accompanies the choir on the piano.
