Visual artist and graphic designer Ebrahim Haqiqi, 67, will open his sixth calligraphic painting exhibit on Friday, November 25, in Tehran.

The latest solo exhibit by the veteran artist is different from his previous shows. This time, his typographies and calligraphic paintings “are peculiar results of occasional blunders in the process of creation,” he says, as reported by Roozrang magazine of visual arts (

Haqiqi’s display at Gallery A is titled ‘Maesthetic Visage’, a coinage of ‘mistake’ and ‘aesthetic’. It will run through December 16. He will also showcase a collection of his calligraphic paintings on poems of the Persian poet Hafez (1326-1390).

His technique is acrylic and digital printing on canvas with distinct visual elements.

The exhibition will be open on all days from 4-8 pm, except Saturdays. The gallery is located at No. 7, Arshad Alley, Azodi Street, Karimkhan Blvd.

Ebrahim Haqiqi is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), an association of the world’s leading graphic artists and designers with 496 members from 39 countries.

He is also a member of Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS), affiliated to the International Council of Graphic Design Association, as well as member of the Iranian Documentary Film Makers Society and Iranian Association for Illustrators of Children’s Book.
