In a shocking new look, Deepika Padukone had a day-long shoot with Majid Majidi.

Famous Indian actress Deepika Padukone’s pictures as what appears to be a slum-dweller, with acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi are breaking the internet and the actress says the details will be revealed soon.

Deepika went almost unrecognized in the without-make-up persona with the pictures sparking rumors that she is collaborating with the director for his next venture.

Dressed in washed-out Indian attire, she was snapped shooting in Mumbai last week and if all goes well could be seen in Majidi’s first Indian film in English titled ‘Floating Gardens’, the Indian Express reported.

The almost day-long shoot was held only for Majidi to gauge if her look suited a prime character in his film. The filmmaker is said to have left for Iran completely satisfied with the screen test of the actress.

As for Deepika, 30, she is now keen to make a mark in international cinema. After starring next to the Hollywood actor Vin Diesel in ‘xXx: the Return of Xander Cage’, she is now looking to stamp her name in global cinema and who better than a director like Majidi. Sources indicate the actor is willing to work for a lesser fee just so that she can be part of Majidi’s cinema.

Majidi is known for his award-winning films such as ‘Children of Heaven’, ‘The Color of Paradise’ and ‘Muhammad, the Messenger of God’.

The casting director of the film, Honey Trehan, was quoted as saying, “It is an Indian story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and Kashmir. It will take off towards the yearend or early 2017 and is a signature Majidi film with new takes on relationships and emotional quotients”.
