Shirin Gallery to Show Iran Modern Art in Abu Dhabi, Miami

Shirin Art Gallery will take part in the eighth Abu Dhabi Art, a fair to be held in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, November 16-19.

It will present works by painter Ali-Akbar Sadeghi, calligrapher Azra Aghighi-Bakhshayeshi, painter Babak Rashvand, sculptor Farnaz Rabiejah, visual artist Hadi Hazavei, painter Koorosh Shishegaran, sculptor Masoud Akhavan, painter Sahar Khalkhalian and the late filmmaker, photographer Abbas Kiarostami among others. 

The artists are masters in their respective medium and together showcase a collection of modern and contemporary art from Iran, said a press release by the gallery.

Abu Dhabi Art offers a multi-disciplinary experience combining an art fair with a diverse art program. The fair presents innovative and established galleries from around the world, bringing together the most innovative artists, cultural leaders and collectors, showcasing artworks for sale, and the art program features a dynamic interdisciplinary set of talks and sensational events for all audiences to enjoy.

CONTEXT Art Miami

From November 29 to December 4, Shirin Gallery will participate in the CONTEXT Art Miami in the US, a fair and marketplace for top collectors to acquire important works from the leading international galleries representing emerging and mid-career cutting-edge works of art.

The gallery will present an exhibition of contemporary works by a wide range of established Iranian artists, including painter Sahar Khalkhalian, sculptor Masoud Akhavan, painter Babak Rashvand, tapestry artist Shahrzad Gharavi, painter Salman Khoshroo, photographer Houman Nobakht, painter Babak Yaghouti, sculptor/ painter Shakiba Parvaresh and sculptors Atena Akhavan and Shahin Ghasemi.
