The 22nd Press Exhibition opens on November 4 and will officially run from November 5-11 at Imam Khomeini Grand Musalla (prayer ground) in Tehran.

“Over 900 Iranian media, including newspapers, magazines, news agencies and press organizations, will set up 620 stands at the exhibition,” IRNA quoted Hussein Entezami, press deputy at the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry, as saying on Monday.

The exhibition will host 13 news agencies, 40 newspapers, 23 press organizations, 65 provincial media, 20 business media, seven public relations offices, 94 news websites and economic-political magazines, 99 sports media, and 79 general and family media as well as 11 media for children and young adults.

“This year, the participants have increased by 30% compared to the previous edition,” Entezami added.

Eight guild associations will also be present at the annual exhibition, which will organize around 200 events on the sidelines, including meetings with representatives of the international media. There will be four photo exhibits on ‘Sacred Defense’, ‘Environment’, ‘Iran and South Korea’ and ‘Iran in the Past Year’.

Workshops, startups and expert meetings on journalistic topics of the day are also scheduled.

‘Transparency and Honesty’ is the slogan of the exhibition, Entezami said. Ministers and government officials will attend the event.

The exhibition is open from 9 am-8.30 pm. The pavilions are arranged on the two stories of the Musalla’s main hall.

The media applicants include 20 news agencies, 99 news websites, 50 newspapers, 14 media companies, 78 weeklies, 40 biweeklies, 122 monthlies, 23 bimonthlies and 47 quarterlies, ISNA had reported in August.

A daily bulletin of the exhibition will be published by one of the participating media each day.
