Iranian game enthusiasts are welcome to join the Global Game Jam inside the country in three different cities from January 23-25.

The Global Game Jam (GGJ), an international non-profit corporation based in San Luis Obispo, California, is the world’s largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at different locations simultaneously.

In this year’s edition of the competition, Iranian game enthusiasts can participate in the event at two locations in Tehran, as well as in cities of Karaj and Babol, MNA reported.

The GGJ encourages people from all backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity. It aims to foster game design and education through innovative events.

The event lasts 48 hours during which players from all around the world watch a short video and then are challenged to make games based on the secret theme announced.

The GGJ event will take place in 480 locations in 63 countries and is expected to have over 3000 games created in 48 hours.
