Veteran master of photography Nasrollah Kasraian is organizing a photo exhibition at Behnam Gallery run by the Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization, a Tehran-based NGO that helps cancer patients.

The exhibition opens on Friday, October 21, and will feature a total of 80 analog or film photographs. Part of the exhibit’s earnings will be donated to cover treatment expenses of cancer patients and to procure medicines.

“Since the event has a meaningful purpose, we will showcase a collection of choice photos spanning several decades,” Tandis visual art magazine (tandismag.com) quoted Kasraian as saying.

The opening ceremony starts at 4 pm. The exhibit will run through October 28 daily from 10 am-7 pm, at the gallery located at No 13, Marmari Alley, Masjedi Alley, Jabbarian Street, Lavasani Street.

Nasrollah Kasraian, 71, has been active in photography since 1966. He travels around Iran taking pictures of landscapes and ethnic groups to publish them in photo books. He has released over 20 photo books, including Damavand, 1992; Persepolis, 1998; Isfahan, 1999; Nomads of Iran, 2001; and Our Homeland in Iran, 2001.
