The national, cultural and artistic festival of 'Iran-Sakht' (Made in Iran) has called for submission of entries. It will be held January 5-7, 2017 in Tehran.
The event is to help support science-based productions and services and make the general public appreciative of locally-made products. The festival also intends to discourage imports and highlight and promote quality products made inside the country. The event will also seek to establish "a content providing trend" in virtual space, focusing on commercialization and science-based entrepreneurship.
The secretary of the national event is Parviz Karami who is also the secretary of the Center for Promoting the Culture of Science, Technology and Science-Based Economy. The center is affiliated to the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, under whose auspices the festival is being organized, Mehr News Agency reported.
Under the slogan 'Iranian Technology, Iranian Business' the competition is being organized at three levels: professional, non-professional and special. It covers a wide range of categories, including literature, visual arts, audio-visual, marketing ideas, digital media and computer games. There is no age restriction for participants.
The category for literature includes poems, promotional slogans with the maximum of 10 words, monograph on introduction of science-based entrepreneurs and essay on entrepreneurship with maximum 1,000 words.
Visual Arts & Audio Visual
In visual arts, photography, caricatures and graphic arts including poster, illustration and infograhy are among the categories and in audio-visual, documentary films, TV series, radio programs, animations, motiongraphy, video-clip and promotional teasers are included.
The digital media category is about websites, weblogs, social networks, software programs, mobile applications, multimedia environments and computer marketing.
Creative ideas in introduction and promotion of Iranian products, as well as those that would help empower the domestic market come in the Marketing Idea category.

The deadline for submissions is November 21. Contestants should own the patents of the works they present.
The participating works will undergo evaluation by both experts and people in two separate sections. The works will be reviewed in two weeks after the deadline, and evaluation results will be announced on December 5. The selected works will be displayed from January 5-7.
