Iran Graphic Designer in Poster Bolivia Biennale Jury

Iranian graphic designer Parisa Tashakori will serve as a jury member in the Biennale of Poster Bolivia 2017 in La Paz.

According to the poster call issued by the website of the event, the jury, composed of a panel of prestigious guest designers, will determine the winners during the week-long activities of the event in November 2017.

All design students, graphic designers, plastic artists, photographers and graphic producers in general, of any age and nationality, who have posters printed between April 2015 and February 2017, are eligible to take part in the contest.

Born in Tehran, Tashakori, 43, holds a master’s degree in graphic design. She has collaborated as designer and art director for several international advertising agencies and cultural institutions. She was a member of the board of Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS) from 2012 to 2015. She has also received an honorary doctorate from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Her works have been exhibited in over 70 national and international exhibitions in Iran, Taiwan, Italy, Ukraine, Bolivia, the US, Russia, Belgium, Slovakia, Finland, France, Poland, Switzerland and Mexico, and have received several awards.

Tashakori has been on the jury of national and international competitions and festivals like Samsung International Poster Competition in Turkey, 13th Poster Biennial in Mexico and Silver Cypress in Tehran.
