The 2nd All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF), which kicked off on September 24, will screen seven films by Iranian filmmakers.
The selected productions are participating in different sections of the event which aims at providing a unique platform for global film industry to portray excellence in filmmaking, Mehr News Agency reported.
In the International Competition for Feature Films section, ‘Road to Perdition’ by Yaser Talebi will be shown.
‘Houra’ by Gholamreza Sagharchian and ‘Rice Cake’ by Mehdi Hosseinivand are attending the International Competition for Debut Directors section. In the International Competition for Short Films section, ‘Burglar Alarm’ by Mani Masoumi will be screened.
Further, the festival will show three movies in the Out of Competition section including ‘The Long Farewell’ by Farzad Motamen, ‘A Report on Mina’ by Kaveh Mazaheri and ‘Anna’ by Asal Gharib.
The festival provides a showcase of the best of film industry for all cineastes and movie fans. ALIIFF aims at educating the community and attendees through the art and science of film, promoting cross-cultural awareness, the exchange of ideas and social understanding.
The 2nd ALIIFF in the Indian city of Hyderabad wraps up on September 27.
