Over 15 domestic and foreign galleries, art institutes and cultural foundations are participating in the event showcasing about 200 works from over 140 artists, Honaronline reported.

Earlier in July the first phase of the biennale was held at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center.

The event brings together paintings, photographs, installations and video art highlighting peace. On display will be works by artists from Iran, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Egypt, France, India, Australia, the US and the UK.

Exhibition highlights include prominent Iranian artists Fereydoun Ave, Pariyoush Ganji, Shadi Ghadirian, Koorosh Shishegaran, Soheila Sokhavari and Hossein Zenderoudi.

The event is supported by Arvand Free Zone Organization, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Abadan Municipality, Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Art and the General Office of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khuzestan Province.

It aims to provide an international platform for exchange through the language of contemporary art. The works will be on display through November 21.
