About 600 applications were approved for participation in the 22nd Iran Press Exhibition before the deadline on August 27.
They include 542 media and 56 miscellaneous applicants from the public relations offices of organizations, foundations and provincial departments of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, on behalf of regional and local media, service centers and related fields.
For the event that is scheduled in November, the media applicants include 20 news agencies, 99 news websites, 50 newspapers, 14 media companies, 78 weeklies, 40 biweeklies, 122 monthlies, 23 bimonthlies and 47 quarterlies, ISNA reported.
Based on a decision by the organizing headquarters of the press exhibition, the media from the private sector will receive a 60% discount in pavilion tariffs. The annual exhibition is usually held at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer ground) in Tehran.
